Hurricaine Katrina seems to have hit mine in the head this weekend but now that the storm is on it's way to being over this week is picking back up.

We just managed to dodge the bullet (panama City, Florida) here and I have to tell you I was scared until it turned away from us as at one time it was coming right at us.

Please say a prayer for the people whose homes are lost and some also lost their lives.

A cold day in one part of one country could be a hot day in another part of another country.

Can you arrange for a planetary scale cold day to test this theory?

I'm based in the UK and there is a definite trend between traffic to our sites and the weather. The better the weather the worse the traffic.

Similarly weekdays are much better for us than weekends - must be all those slackers at work! This trend is across the board for over 70 sites in different areas.

And the worst days of all for us? Bank Holidays, grrrr!

I must agree with Davec above. I'm located in Holland and there is less traffic on warm days. Also on weekdays there are more visitors than during the weekend, especially on a warm Saturday traffic is low.

This is going to be bad as Louisiana, New Orleans get hits by Katriana. They'll be outta internet connection for up to two months due to electricity.

But in the mean time, let's first pray for their misfortune, which is much more important.

Yes it is.

There is widespread devastation there and the water is still rising as we speak.

They are moving the people from the superdome to Texas Astrodome....debating whether or not anything in the city will survive.

And can you beleive all the looting. My God, can't the crooks give the people a break for a change, sheeesh.

I know it has affected my adsense earnings but that is nothing compared to what they are going through.
