A few days ago one page got very popular because I got position 1 for the key phrase in MSN. Now I only see PSA on that page. Very frustrating! What could be the explanation? Sudden increase in page impressions? The page is at position 12 in Google and improving. I didn’t change the content of the page, I only created more targeted internal links.

Maybe the advertisers exceeded their budget because of the extra clicks?

people always have to fiddle with something, don't fix what ain't broke. if you were doing good you should left it alone and not fiddle with links either.. ads are sensitive to even your breath.. by trying to squeeze more juice form the orange your sweet orange turned into a lemon.

Zygoot, I don't think so. Many other pages are about same subject and they still show ads.

well, right, but you made some changes, whether they are links or not it is content. maybe you have to wait for the google ad bot to return now.

Check with Google's preview tool if your ads are generated in some countries or not at all.
If you have e.g. USA targeted site and you look at it from Belgium's IP, you may see PSA as noone was interested to advertise to Belgium public.
The server location could also play the role in it.

'Noob, I think he means he changed or added some links to the page from others on the site with better anchor text. One should constantly be working on ways to increase SE positioning or on maintaining it. Otherwise there will be no page views to get clicks from.

I had a similar problem and contacted Google support and they were able to fix the problem for that page. Also, checking the preview tool is a good idea.

Good point.
I contacted G regarding never-ending Blog ads, and they "fixed" it.
Not sure what was gumming up the works, but they were able to take care of it.

My home page lost targetting on august ninth. And then PSA's on the twentieth. I contacted Google on the 22nd I believe and have been going back and forth with them (a real person). At one point I removed the code and gave up, but the rep told me he couldn't help if the code wasn't there so I put it back. That was close to a week ago and there have been no changes. I still have a home page about a vacation destination showing national ads for camping or hiking. The 20 days before August 9 the eCPM was twenty times the eCPM of the 20 days after August 9.

Gotta Go. As I write this I am seeing big changes in the adsense on my site. Other pages going to PSA's. Apparent site targetting showing up all over the place, and Ad Titles crawling out of their space
