Ads: site specific or page specific?

My sites started to display only site specific ads

The majority of the sites where we use AdSense are "widget" websites. I see many widget ads on our sites. But, we also have many other "similar" content, these pages displayed in the past relevant ads for the page content and now I rarely see a "page specific" ad. All I see now is the general "widget" ads and PSA-s (which are now replaced by alternative ads --- thanks to Google..). I rarely see a page specific ad (maybe 0.5 - 1%).

Anyone having the same problem?

Yep...me too.

Something about "theming" comes to mind.

Well the only thing that I have is on my contact page are psa's. The rest are targeted.

I find ads to be site specific only for a short while then they become page specific.

I think this will be due to the time taken for mediabot to spider them.

Unfortunately, my sites still shows many site specific ads instead of page specific ads. What am I doing wrong?
I would appreciate some comments about what could I do.

I am also seeing this on my site now, to some extent, and I think it has to do with AdWords broad matching. It has definitely had a negative impact on our CTR and I emailed Google about it last night and provided links to several of the pages where this is happening. I haven't received a response yet.

What is really strange is that my pages are indexed very well on google. I mean that lots of traffic is coming from google to my "inside" pages, using various keywords. This is why I don't understand why google adsense don't display page specific ads...

I also noticed that on "case studies" websites presented by google ads are 99% relevant to page instead of the site.

Maybe I need some AdSense optimization, instead of SEO... :)

Ditto what Mack said. Site first then page specific as time goes by... Like sands of an hour glass, so are sites lives in Mediabot's eyes. :)
