Need some advice on site Layout for icreased CTR

Hi

I had a overall CTR of 1 - 1.5% last week, then I read the forums and more than doubled my income with a few simple changes.

I would appreciate some suggestions from the users over here on how to increase my CTR to perhaps 6 or 7%

My articles section on my site has the following layout, and I have a CTR of about 4.5 - 5%

t = page title
a = adsense
b = private banner

The main page of my site has the following layout, and has the same CTR

Does anyone have any tips on how to increase the CTR more?
