Dynamic templates

I am using dynamic web templates and wanted to put adlinks in the template. But it doesnt seem to be getting the content information from the page it is attached to.

Are templates kind of treated like a framed page?

When I add the adlink to the template and view online it shows a little search box.

The search box appears when there are no ads to show. That may just be because the page has not yet had the media bot along to visit. Give it time.
