I just got google ads on my web on the first day I clicked to see if it works. It's been 7 days now. I have been visiting my site as well and also testing to see how the ads change with each refresh. The thing is I just discovered that impression have been on the rise for my adsense account. Does anyone think I am in any real danger of being banned or my account being warned?

Hello jacov888,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

An Adsense account is a special gift. A gift that you can enjoy while you sleep.

You don't need to click on the ads to test them. Trust me, they work just fine.

I suggest that you read the TOS and refer back to them or to this forum when you have any questions.

Don't click on your ads ever again and you should be fine. How much traffic are you getting? When you are refreshing your pages again and again, it might be viewed as artificially inflating impressions, unless your own viewing is a small percentage of the total views.

I refresh my pages alot for the same reason... to see how a layout looks or to see if the ads are targetting properly, etc.

Just take it easy for awhile and don't keep at it! Relax and you might be okay.

And don't EVER click your own ads again! :-)

Google can tell the difference between somebody accidentally clicking the ads, and fraud. I have clicked on my own ads by accident three times in two years. I emailed them on all occasions apologising, and got a very nice boilerplate reply thanking me for letting them know and quoting the tos.

All webmasters check their pages to see that they work and the ads are targetted. Google know that we do this. Again, they can tell the difference between normal webmaster checking and auto clicking on pages showing cpm ads.

From your AdSense account, you may enter the query "disabled", and click on "Search AdSense Help".

You will see an interesting support section entitled "What can I do to ensure that my account won't be disabled?".
