Scraper wants to go straight...

Hello,

I'm kinda new to AdSense (June 2005 was my first month).

The only kind of websites I've been putting up are program generated websites of 5000+ pages. I have about 50 websites like this.

Although I've been averaging $1,500+ a month for June, July and August, I'd rather have a couple of BIG websites that net me the same income as a lot of my websites though they were making something like $500+/month are now making only a couple of bucks for August.

So, how long would it REALISTICALLY take for me to build up enough hits and clicks to make the $1500/month that I'm presently making from my scraper sites?

How long is a piece of string? It depends on your level of skill in choosing a subject, writing content, promoting the site and converting the traffic into money. It could vary widely and depends on what you mean by BIG but I'd certainly not expect it to happen in a few hours or days (unless you're using PPC).

Why not just build better autogenerated pages? That's a serious question. One big content site is a risky proposition. With one algo change or Adsense TOS change any earnings you build up on that site could disappear faster than I can say "scraper".

"why not build just better generated pages"

exactly, the reason you arent making money any more is because they are getting banned correct? Make your templates better.

Why not just build better autogenerated pages?

Am I reading this thread right? A scraper wants to go straight, and Webmaster World members want to talk him out of it?

Seems a 180 degree turn from most threads on the "scraper" subject.

Unless you mean that autogenerated pages!(necessarily)= scraper.

I'd like to know why you have started FIVE threads specifically to state that you're creating scraper sites and make X amount of money (always different; last week it was $100/day) from it.

To me this sounds like somebody who isn't a scraper at all, probably posting under a duplicate userid, simply trying to stir up trouble.

This is 'Webmaster' world. Setting up scraper sites still makes you a webmaster.

Why worry about it just don't visit the thread.
