Google can make ours (? mine) life easy by fixing these few things in the control panel. This are the things which do not need any "rocket science" to fix and I am sure any engineer at googleplex can make these adjustments in few hours.

#1. On Advanced Reports Page
Currently in channel selection box we have these four options: "Select: All, Active, Inactive, None". They can easily add two more ("All URL Channels only"; "All Custom Channels Only") to make it more efficient. I am really frustrated at times when I have to manually select my 15-20 url channels in that little channel selection box.

#2. On overview page
The default on the overview page is "today’s earning". I am sure most of us are more interested in knowing the trends rather than knowing our income for the day. The default of "last seven days" with (or without) a simple line graph will be just wonderful.
#3. A separate Adlinks Page/link
It will be really wonderful if we can have a separate adlinks page for exclusive adlink reports. Currently the "double-clocking" of the impressions in adlinks is messing up my concepts of logical reports. Moreover the job of tracking adlinks performance is extremely inconvenient in the current setting (with channels).

#4. On adsense for content code page
OK. This happens quite often with me. I customize the code for a new adsense unit on the code page and then I remember that i have to create a new channel for this unit. Result: Going to the manage channel page to create a new channel and losing my formatted code. Google can easily put a gmail style "new channel" in the drop down menu itself and thus save me the precious time which can be better spent on optimizing the pages for adsense.

I wouldn't be so quick to guess what "most of us" would want.

Maybe a better solution would be a way to save a "preferred" report that shows up as the overview, so folks aren't stuck with a report they don't need.

Also, just because things may *seem* simple on the surface doesn't mean there's a lot work involved that you may not be aware of.

I agree with #1 think it would be great.

I agree with Rodney on #2.

Something I don't really need and I do want to see my money made today.

This will be definitely better than what I suggested earlier. :-)

Looks like they've added something like this today:

From the what's new page:
[google.com...]

Custom reports allow you to save your favorite report settings

They've also added the ability to see what your visitors are searching for with Adsense For Search
