Locked out of my account?

Password problem - or banned?

I've been trying to log into my AdSense account and it won't let me in. I tried to have Google send me my password and when I type my e-mail, it says "No such account found."

Does this mean Google has banned me? I am freaking out! I logged in earlier today, but now it won't work. Anybody have any words of wisdom or words of comfort? Has this ever happened to anyone else who wasn't banned?

Did you recently open an AdWords account that is using the same info, including your email address?

I know this has happened to others... if so, don't panic. ASA should be able to help.

Well, my story ends more happily than garung's. I finally got back into my account ... I don't know what happened, but for a while there, Google seemed to have forgotten that I exist (!). I was really sweating bullets. I wasn't sure what I could have possibly done wrong, since I never even approach the boundaries of acceptability vis-a-vis the TOS, but I was mentally sifting through my content searching for something that might be considered a violation.

I wonder how frequently this occurs. I don't have an AdWords account, so that was not the problem.
