I'm beginning to wonder about the visitors leaving the site via adsense, and winding up on scrapers sites, etc.
Maybe I should just have a page that says, "If you leave this site via a link, we are not responsible for what happens....?
I have professional liability insurance to cover as many REAL issues as can be covered.
ps. I found out that if you host websites it is darn hard to get liability insurance.
Why would we need a Privacy Policy if nowhere on any of our sites do we ask for any information from visitors?
To explain cookies for one... whether you use them or not. If you don't use them - say so. If you do - explain why they're being used.
Plus it adds a degree of professionalism to your site that your competetitors might not have, or may already have - meaning you need to catch up...
In the European Union there is some directive about cookies, and an explanation about if you use them, and why is always handy. Not that anyone is going to actually DO anything if you don't, but it does show you are aware of local customs and regulations and as a bonafide webmaster you are meeting obligations.
Mind you, the EU also has directives about the straigtness of banana's and actually (seriously) wanted to rename milk to be called "Bovine mammary secretions" throughout the EU. Anyone for dispanding the barking mad EU?
I locked adsense on that page since it provided ads for Internet lawyers offering ways to sue you. :\ I couldn't block them all in the adsense interface, so I better thought, I save clicks to laywers on that page.
