Today my traffic went through the roof. I have an Adwords campaign directing traffic to some of my best pages and the clicks there were frightening although I did manage to eek out a profit so I maintained my keyword bidding at normal levels. Everything was running about 10x normal and i kept checking my logs expecting fraud and no matter how hard I looked I couldn't find any.

So finally I decided something was up and checked my keyword out on the Google news search and there it was. MSN had just done a big article on a subject I have one of the few pages about. So I cut down my bids since traffic was coming in nicely without the Adwords.

Now I am looking at some substantial profits from a single article.

This is almost as good as the time I got a call from the producers of the Rikki Lake show because they needed someone to debate some crackpot.
