How was your weekend?

meaning friday-sunday, this is not an attempt to boast about how many bucks i made, i know that some people may way more but on a group of sites, i have been making about $ 1600 a month yet over the last 3 days, i have made over $ 600.
no way you can make comparisons, i know but is this a result of the new policy of only showing very highest paying ads or are other people having the usual up and down stories?
probably no connection but itīs curious this is happening on what have been very steady earning sites at the same time that yahoo dips its toes in the market.

nothing like looking at your google adsense account to invoke a dose of paranoia, i know ;)

This weekend is turning out horrible - only $2200. I think a lot of folks are on vacation.

We run a very broad based diverse network of many websites. Saturday Aug 6 was one of my worst days I have ever encountered. In fact the last time my earnings were lower was all the way back on May 15th (which was also a very odd low day).

Not sure why. Anyone else notice this?

Yep, I saw a noticable decline on Saturday, across the board.. AdSense, Adwords, sales, site visitors. Methinks many people were enjoying a fine summer day.

Yep, traffic was even better than last Sat, but the CPM was lower. It was like some advertisers turned off their content ads.

Mine slipped over the weekend but the begining of the week was very good.

This weekend looks OK, though not quite as strong as the previous two (which isn't surprising, since many people--especially in Europe--are on vacation in August).

FWIW, my traffic is lower on the weekends than on the weekdays, but eCPM tends to be noticeably better--lately, at least. This suggests that the people visiting my travel-planning site on the weekend (when they could be doing something else) are more likely to be active travelers than armchair travelers, compared to my audience on weekdays.

Rainy cold weather in German area. Seems on such rainy weekends, people have more time to study not only my site, but also the ads.

I'm not one for entering in to these types of debates - well not until now! I also sense that August stats will be hit by many people enjoying the sun and generally on holiday away from their PCs. This weekend was poor unline anything in the last 3 months.
