Hello all
Iam new to adsence say about six months
My question is this is July and August the slow period for shoppers?
My adsence has drop to about 35% less than June Month
Should i be concern?

August seems to be slower for me too. It might be attributed to back-to-school season.

I think everybody's pattern is different. My pattern is not seasonal, but day of week. Public holidays it slumps big time. It's probably too early to pinpoint any seasonal trends as yet, as you haven't been with adsense very long.

I don't know how long your site has been online, or what access you have to log files, but I find the logfiles pinpoint trends best. You might find answers onyour individual trends there.

As for the drop in adsense revenue, adsense is a roller-coaster ride and you get used to peaks and troughs. The trick is being able to instinctively know if the trend you are seeing is normal ups and downs, or something else.

If you used the channels function, you should be able to work out what banners work and what ones don't. Dump the ones that dont. If you have multiple adblocks on one page, make sure that they all have a channel, and if they don't perform dump them!

Also, experiment with different ad blocks in different positions until you find what works best for you.

Your website may be one of those that dips down during summer. Don't worry, you're not alone. That's why I hate summers and holidays. :o)

Many people claim the summer months aren't very good but I'm experiencing the opposite. Last month my earnings reached a new peak and this month I'm well on the way to exceed last month's earnings. But that's mainly due more traffic and a bit of optimization like repositioning ads, changing colors, weed out crapvertisers, ...

The peeks and valleys of adsense will depend on what your site(s) are about. Say a summer travel destination will pick up in the summer and a winter travel destination will pick up in the winter. Sports sites will grow during the seasons into playoffs, etc, etc....

Every site is unique.

Plus, it depends where your markets may be...August especially is switch off time for several European Mediterranean countries...if you know nothing about these countries you really cannot conceive how blase they are about "lack of customer service"!

They just disappear and don't give a damn...

And I write this as a European who is fed-up of this scenario, 30+ years of trying to tolerate it, whilst listening to the same idiots wondering why they are losing manufacturing jobs to China and India!

Fortunately nothern Europe seems to take business a bit more seriously...

My travel site is doing very well, but it will be sliding into the doldrums in November, when the widget sites are revving up for Christmas. That's the pattern I've seen since 1996, although the seasonal swings are less extreme than they used to be.
