Subtle changes in ad position from page to page is inducing clicks

Imagine you've got a photo gallery with small graphics that load quickly, and each graphic has its own page. You click on 'Next' (which is located below the current graphic) to load up the next page and as the images load fast you find yourself hitting Next, Next, Next and every once in a while an adsense box is placed where Next was and you click it by accident.

Would smart-pricing not destroy this?

That is a trick, I guess.
I don't think Google will say "OK" to that, because users will be clicking the Ad accidentally and unintentionally. That's a wastage of AdWords advertisers' money.

AdWords advertisers are seeking for real customers who wish buy products and services. Accidental clicks will not help them at all.

We should not forget how we get paid. We get paid from our valued AdWords advertisers. So we have to deliver value to them and keep them in the AdWords program.

Luckily, I don't think everyone is trying to scam the system.

There will always be a few that try to push the limits or try to get a short term windfall instead of playing it clean for the long term gain.

Just to clarify: I saw this in action, I don't plan to implement it myself ;)

More than a few, unfortunately.

More than a few, unfortunately.

Relative the the overall number of adsense publishers, I'm optomistic that it's a few.

Hopefully I'm not too overly optomistic.
