Adsense Phenomena

I recently launched a new website setup with blended adsense. All the pages have related ads showing up fine except the index page.

Now if I take the code from the index page and put it in a working page it shows related ads fine. If I create a new page and use the same code from the index page it does not work.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

it isn't the code that is causing the problem.

I had this problem - Adsense cannot decide what your index page is about so makes an 'educated' guess based on the content of other pages within your domain (or other fragmented on-page factors. In my personal experience I found it better to just remove the adsense ads from my index page.

To be honest it was just pointless and the homepage is the gateway for the other areas of the site.

The alternative of course is to offer content on the page relevant to a particular subject, and then get the mediapartners bot to come back and spider the new content on the page.
