Can you guys please tell me how to find low paying ads and remove them?
I have many clicks, but most of the clicks are $0.03 E0.05 range.
Overall income divided by total clicks shows more than $0.10 per click, because few clicks pay more than $1.00.
If I try to filter the low paying ads, will I loose my overall income?
Look forward to your comments. Thank you.
It sounds that the issue is more that some topics on your site pay more than others. Figure out what they are and add more content on those topics instead of pages similar to the ones displaying lower-paying ads.
The content that has really good cost per click is more competitive and hard to get visits for it.
Work for your users, maybe you hace low cost per click, but sure you will get more users, more visits, and sure: more clicks!
Maybe you finally get the best ads with the maximum cost per click, but very few clicks...
AdSense will show the highest paying ad available during each page view
Not necessarily true, as the ads shown are a mix of CPC and CTR. Your AdSense ads could be low CPC (say eBay) who have high CTR (perhaps) on other sites. AdWords site shows:-
User clickthrough rates and CPC help determine where your ad is shown
Therefore if you can eliminate these ones, you will be served higher CPC ads. Which admitedly may not get the punter clicking as quickly, but onlt testing will prove it one way or the other.
