I know I've started a couple of related threads recently, so sorry for being a bore! But I have noticed what *may* be an interesting trend as a result of my recent experiment.

Over the last three weeks or so, I've been watching what ads are served, and adding scrapers and made for adsense sites to the block list. Result is that bottom line $$ is up by 20%. Clicks/ctr down by half, cpc up by well over double. I'm now seeing well targetted, well paying ads.

Looking at the stats, over the last few days I've seen a further increase in epc. I have a gut feeling that this may be as a result of smartpricing looking at the recent improvements in earnings per click and overall site earnings and pushing up what it's charging advertisers on my site.

I stress that this is only a gut feeling, and accept that what I'm seeing is just as likely to be as a result of somebody sneezing in the Australian outback. But I was wondering if anyone else has done this and seen a positive cycle of increased earnings over time?

Not so fast...

I've done nothing and epc has risen nicely for me for the last 8 days. Today is starting like I haven't seen for six months - at all time highs. Maybe advertisers are coming off of the summer break for back to school time already?
