A few months ago I showed my retired father the wonder of Adsense. So he decided to start working on it too.

He used my account while he was starting out.

For the last month or so he started making $25 to $30 a day and so decided to open his own account.

Yesterday he switched over his sites to the new account.

Bam. All he has made today is $3. This is down from $25 the day before.

And my sites are doing fine, no visible changes.

What happened? Is it just a coincidence or could have the change-over have caused it?

Thanks,
Leon

who can say? the mysteries of google....i have noticed that when i change the ad code (colours, position, shape etc) the rate drops severely but tends to pick up again the next day.

yesterday for example, i had 190 clicks and made $ 77, today i had 395 clicks and made $ 17. Traffic was almosr identical, didnīt change the ad code.

iīve given up trying to work out the whys and wheres...like why does 80 % of my revenue come before 1 pm(GMT) when the clicks are constant all day and traffic is mainly US yet the revenue rate dries up before the states is even awake? i can make roughly $ 70 for the morning and $ 10 for the rest of the day with no peaks or troughs in click rates.

in your case, i can only think that when you change ad code etc; some of the higher paying clicks disappear from the memory and you have to wait until they crawl your site again before things pick up.
