Has anyone ever received an invitation from Google to have them optimize your Google adsense ads and have them tell you where to place things on the page?

I just got one. I guess that means that I am doing terrible and even Google feels sorry for me.

For those who did accept their invitation, did you find that it helped?

Thanks, just curious. Looking forward to Google's assistance becasue Lord knows I need it right now.

Don't take it personal, Google's just trying to maximize their revenue and the best way to do that it maximizing all the AdSense sites potential. They seem to be slowly offering this service to many AdSense sites over the last couple of months.

I would say it means you're doing quite well. Or have the capacity to do that.

All they ever offered me was a funky little radio..

I also got an email invitation to a " AdSense Optimization Webinar". I thought everybody would be invited. Interesting...

I took them up on the offer for optimization and two weeks later they wrote back that after looking at my site and my CTR I'm doing very well as it is and they had no further suggestions!

We replied to the Optimization Help Availability Notice. A few days later G said they reviewed the account and noticed we were doing good and CTR was already higher than normal so we did not need their optimizing help.

ditto trader.

My email said something like:

"the bad news is we can't help you optimize the site,
the good news is you're very good at what you do."

I blushed.

If I would not have optimized my site in February, I am shure, Google would have contacted me.

Begining February was here a big discussion about decreasing earnings. My earnings went also down.

Before, I thought only in terms of new content to improve my earnings.

But so, I changed much at the ad colors and placement.

When I would not have done this in February and March by myself, I am shure, the AdSense optimzation team would have contacted me.

Great site, great content, but terrible CPM.

So be happy when they contact You.

I got a message from them just as I was in the middle of optimising my site anyway, so I took up the offer.

To be frank, there was nothing in what they said which I had not already gleaned from here - and indeed, one piece of advice went contrary to an AdSence conference hosted by Google said to do!

I ignored their advice - and increased my CTR and eCPM anyway.

Haven´t had that but have had them ask me to join experiments they have for forum sites involving different positioning of the ads etc..left hand side/right hand side/ top/bottom/ in between thread posts etc:

skunker –

Don’t worry! An invitation to optimize is not meant to imply anything negative about the current implementation of your AdSense code. In fact, as MediaSpree said, this probably means an AdSense representative saw potential in your site.

I strongly encourage you to take the representative up on his/her offer for optimization, as it’s a good opportunity to get this type of one-on-one analysis of your site.

Good luck!

I'd definitely welcome it - it's always good to have someone w/ fresh eyes and possibly better ideas to look at your sites... sometimes our views of our own sites can get a little jaded. Plus it would be nice to find out if we're doing something agianst the TOS w/out getting a warning (or worse) first...
On the other hand, nobody knows what direction you want to go w/ your site & what your goals are better than you...
