Elation and then discouragement

Perhaps I'll blame it on smart pricing..

I've consistently been making around $7-$8 a day for about a month and a half. This has mostly been from my primary site, with my secondary pulling in a little from time to time.

Right now I'm making more than I was previously, but I'm actually not overly pleased with why. I've got 4 content sites currently. One is coming up on a year old, the second I started in February. The other two are new enough that they don't really matter yet.

I say my record high from the other day and was completely elated. But, as it turns out it's one of my stupid sites that's making it. The ones that I've worked so hard at have taken a HUGE nosedive in revenue. The site that made $8/day now makes more like $1.50. The other is about the same, but it's got little traffic, so it doesn't matter.

More money, but all that work seemingly for nothing..

Well.... no...not really. I mean whatever you do to better your sites and expand them and add new stuff and increase your links and optimize and validate can only be a good thing in the long run, no?

Maybe not right off the bat but eventually - you'll see.

Google surely works in mysterious ways, I added Ad Links above forum posts July 10, before averaged about $10/day, since have averaged $30/day and just had two record days of $45+.

Simply adding ad links to the worst performing area of my sites seems to have rocketed my EPC and left me really at a loss to explain smart pricing.

Must say I'm enjoying the ride.

Yeah, well, that's what I thought at first too and then I tried taking them off and wooo woo wwooo guess what happened?

If the page ain't getting no clicks - take the ads off.

Novel concept. It works though.
