My understanding is that first adblock called on the page will contain the highest paying ad(s). And, Keeping this above the fold is desireable. I have a page with a blank area where I would like to place an additional adblock. It is on the left side of my page just below the menu (way below the fold) My main ad is a 250x250 in the top center of the page, which would be rendered (interpreted?) after the ad below the menu. I of course want to keep the highest paying ads at the top center, and place the "next" ad at the bottom below the menu. I feel the way my page is structured this is impossible...Any one have any idea what I'm talking about and have some advice :)

My general layout looks like this where the stars are where I want the cheapest ad to go. and the pipe is the seperation between two table cells.

Header Header Headedr
Menu ¦ Main AdSense Ad (250x250)
Menu ¦ Content
Menu ¦ Content
Menu ¦ Content
**** ¦ Content
**** ¦ Content

P.S. I thought about using adlinks there but I already have an adlinks unit on the page that I woudl not want to remove.

You might want to do a web search for "table trick" which basically makes your left hand navigation column come after the content cell in your HTML code.

That's what I do. Remove the menu code and leave an empy cell that collapses and put the menu cell AFTER your content in a new row. The gap will be tiny above your menu.

Yes, it looks something like this

leftcellone rightcellone
leftcelltwo rightcellone

where rightcellone is set to cover two rows and leftcellone is left empty.

if ($payamount > $top)
{
// move to top ;

}

Guys leave that to google. just concentrate on content and heatmap.
