Iam being adsense for last 10 days. I know this is too early to come to judgement, But rather i have observed certain pattern. I need to confirm from you experienced guys whether my obsi was correct up to which extent.

For past 10 days iam using adsense my avg ctr is around 1.7 with around 3.1 being the highest? and i observed that iam getting ads with cost around 5 cents .

Avg i will get 2000 impression and 20 - 30 clicks?

My site is not ranked by google so far. What should i do to target high paying ads?

Those stats look okay to me, not the best but certainly not the worst either.

I suggest give it more time and remove any ads that are not going away and pay little (ban them in your adsense account).

Over the last month my eCTR has increased from about 2.2 to 3.7 - my traffic has dropped slightly, I've not done much to the sites to effect this, things go up and down all the time!

Perhaps read the '3 tips' thread!

Different content pays differently for clicks on average. For example, if your content is about books it may pay less per click than if it were about mesothelioma. There are alot of other factors but the subject matter is the first to consider.

Of course, there are now a bazillion crap mesothelima sites out there, so your chances of scoring big are poor indeed with that subject...

Be that as it may, 1000 ten-cent clicks is still $100 and can be quite profitable even though the take-per-click is low.
