Pagerank Gone... & $ ECPM dropped by 50%

How could this happen when i have a visitor rate of 7000 unique a day

This is so strange since the 1st of July my pagerank is gone. My income has dropped with 50% while my visitors keep rising.

Anyone has this same problem./..

Or may know a resolution to this?

Did you use TE or DG to generate the site? Google hates them when they find it.

pagerank on one of my sites vanished un july update. it was 6. yesterday it returned and its 4 now. I had used mamboserver as cms for the site.

my traffic has dropped to less than 35%.

i think PR does have impact on traffic. but how.... not clear.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. My site has been online since 1998 and I have had a PR of 6 for a few years now. The Google Toolbar still says I have a PR of 6 but since July 1, my site is no longer showing up in the SERPs for any of the keywords that it used to show up for. It used to be in the top 5 for a few related keywords but now I cant find it until a few pages in, if at all. I cannot imagine what happened since I did not make any changes to my site in a while. Naturally my Adsense earnings have dropped. I was making about $800/mth and this month it looks like it will be about $250. Does anyone know what happened on July 1st? How can I tell if my PR has dropped?

Sounds like you may have been bit by the Bourbon update, Aaron. Bourbon trashed many a good site, unfortunately.

the way it looks to me is google is actually updating now my googlebot activity has tripled from its norm

Thanks Fezziwig, do you have any more information as to the bourbon update? I'm just trying to find out what if anything can be done to get back in the rankings.

You may want to check and see if someone have copyed your site with copyscape, and well as look around for your site where it was and see if anysites have hijacked it.
