Early morning earnings benchmark

Does anyone else use this measurement?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone else think like this?

My "benchmark" for having a decent day -- one where I won't feel compelled to check my stats every hour or so -- is having $11 in earnings by 11 am. :-)

Whenever I have that "11 by 11", I relax.

Anybody else have a little benchmark like this?

My earnings are pretty steady all day until 22~23.00 hours UK time, about 14~15.00 Google time, by which I will have earned maybe 75% and then the final 9-10 hours sees the remainder at much, much lower EPC too.

So, the answer to your question is, yes, normally within the first 4~5 hours, about UK 12~13.00, I can pretty much tell if the day's going to produce as hoped.

Strangely though, occasionally it doesn't work like this and it seems to struggle all day until I get up the next morning and see that it has achieved as expected.

However those are NOT usually the days when everyone posts " Google stats not updating", it seems to be a strange snail's pace phenomenon...probably G...?

As a matter of interest we have one site which by about 13~14.00 Google time has taken 90% of its daily earnings and it's a global information/forum site!

Yesmom, I do this too! In fact, I have a distribution of earnings data for any hour of any day, which allows me to gauge my performance at any time of the day!

Well, I accumulated all the data by accident. When I was starting, I relieved the tension or suspense of checking my earnings by writing down the numbers on a little notebook every time I checked my stats. It became a habit and before long, I have 6 months of day-hour-earnings trends that tell me whether to relax and enjoy the day OR do something drastic to correct a downward trend. It worked really well for me so far. Yes, I prevented myself from turning nuts by, well, turning nuts!

$50 by noon est for adsense, but $100 by 5pm is really the kicker.

I've been watching and it seems that if I check between noon and 1:00 PM PST (which is 2:00 - 3:00 where I'm at) it will be pretty close to half of what I'll eventually earn for the day.

In my particular case, my peak content is such that people tend to read it at home in the english speaking world.

That means my morning earnings are usually frighteningly low. It's often the case that I get twice the traffic in evening hours in the US and Canada than in the morning. It tapers off late in the evening.

At some point I analyzed my log files by the hour to make a spreadsheet that would predict my earnings at any point during the day, but then I realized this could turn into obsessive-compulsive checking behavior and drive me around the bend.

Hey, you at work? You didn't leave the stove turned on did you. Did you remember to lock the door?

How's adsense doing today? Better check again, google might have gone down since you last checked!

You get the idea. Now I check at most two or three times a day, usually first in the late afternoon. There's very little I can do to influence a day's earnings, but a great deal I can do to influence them in the long run, and my time is better spent doing that.
