Hi there,

Can anyone tell me please why the earning of google adsense is decreasing day by day. Anyone has experienced it?

Please also explain can we check two adsense accounts from one PC.

Thanks
Kashif

Hi Kashif,
It could be anything related to your industry / website / traffic. Things keep changing and you need to keep working on your websites. I personally have not experienced any decrease.

As many of the "Adsense declining" posts that I see here, it sounds like the AS world is falling in, but I gotta tell ya, mine just keeps getting better.
Maybe others don't post because we don't want to throw it in anyones face, (and I'm not trying to), but I for one, am extremely grateful for the system.

No.. I think its just many new publishers coming in. Google is pushing its adsense program agresively and there are just too many articles about adsense AND webmasterworld is the foremost forum for this kind of discussion.

Just what I think.

Mine is impressively incereasing daily and I'm more than delighted.

In many cases, trends can be based on industry, weather, economy etc. I don't think downward trends can be attributed to Adsense. It is worth looking at the site and its optimisation.

Since this question is posted so frequently, let me try to provide a semi-definitive answer, because I think I have the stats to make some solid conclusions.

My site gets enough hits that the law of averages smooths everything out. I sometimes get multiple days in a row where my AdSense earnings are within a few percent of each other. I *know* that weekends are not good, and weekdays are. (Certainly this may be just the opposite for other sites). And, I see direct correlations with changes I make to the site and how much money I make.

In other words, everything is consistent and explainable, month after month. I don't even notice when google changes their algortihms (assuming that they have been doing so). I rarely get "bad" days. And, in the long term there are no significant trends that are not the result of my own work at changing the site itself, or the promotion of the site.

AdSense isn't failing, smart pricing isn't doing anything crazy. Worst case scenario is that you have a competitor that is effecting you, or you did something dumb when trying to optimize your site -- because I'm pretty sure it isn't AdSense. I've got many months of statistics and many, many hits, and totally consistent earnings that will back me up on this.

My is just increasing

CTR suddenly higher by 20% without changing anything

EPC slightly climbing

But it's also different sites, different behavior. Some pages are worse compared to June, some are better.

What goes up must come down. And if it hasn't happened to you yet, you haven't been around long enough.

My eCPM was good 3 months ago it averaged $50 ish then possibly due to smart pricing it came gradually down for about amonth then stayed at $20 - $30 this past week it has started to go back to where it was, traffic ctr etc are within the usuall percentages its just eCPM thats been changing.

Will it go up and down again?

what goes up seems to go down again then back up again

Quite often we get mixed up in the hurly burly activity of Google Ad placements, keywords, CPM, CTR etc etc and forget about some of the most obvious things that may effect your revenue, such as "seasonal adjustments".

1. If you sell Christmas decorations - your website will probably have less visitors in the middle of summer, than in the winter months - hence less clickable revenue.

2. And - your "skisoldhere.com" is likely to see an increase in traffic during winter than opposed to July/August time.

Equally, the summer months might see a short drop off overall during "peak vacation" time.

So, for those of you in your first year of Google Adsense publishing, don't go mental and start moving ads around, changing web design, SEO etc when you see a drop in earnings over the next few months - it just might well be that everyone has gone off camping! (p.s. good luck for those with camping equipment websites!)

June 03, started Adsense. Anyone here earlier than that?
I haven't yet seen a declining month unless I jacked with my pages. Even then, it smoothed out after a bit.

How long is long enough, do you think?
