Of course, until Google told us we could have virtually live stats, I only used to check the following day like many others.
The question is, will "live" stats ever return or do we just accept that logging-in every 6-8 hours for a reasonable review is now the accepted norm and that only the following day's results are to be taken as accurate?
But I believe Google has it setup in such a way, that there are less outages and a more stable and secure system when they update the stats every few hours.
I know what it's like dealing with large databases, and having things setup on a crontab, if you will, greatly reduces the load on the server. That way they can utilise their resources at a time when they are available.
Live stats are potentially useful to us all, but with the amount of advertisers and publishers Google has in it's portfolio, it just makes no sense to have the stats updated in real-time.
I hope that covers your questions.
I understand your frustration with this, up untill a few days ago the stats were fine every 1/2 hour or so.
Now it can go several hours without an update.
When you are playing adwords against adsense it is very annoying.
Thanks for the posters input regarding crontab, the point was googles sytems were working fine a couple of weeks ago, we just want that level of reporting back.

My stats are updating frequently again - data increases 15 min. at a minimum
After 10 pints of extremely wonderful Bateman's beer I am going to state the stupidly obvious i'Bill...you live just down the road from them!
If they can't keep their stuff up-to-date locally, who can?
Ok, ok, ok,...I do "know" that not "everything" is located in your backyard however why is it that some seemingly experience no problems with Adsense statistics meanwhile others have so many continual inaccuracies?
If Google cannot provide the service then they should withdraw it until such time they CAN do it reliably.
I don't have a problem with that and it would at least be honest!
