Some have said here previously that adsense support claimed that our tracking numbers are just not available. That's likely to happen from time to time. If it happens to you, tell them that you know they are lying to you because I have always received my tracking number promptly after requesting it, and I have read posts from other adsense publishers reporting the same thing.
Supply the URL to this thread if you like.
And be sure to point out to them that if they simply supplied your tracking number in your payment history, you never would have troubled them with your request. I would really like to see a coordinated campaign of adsense publishers bombarding google with this feature request. If our tracking numbers are so quickly available to adsense support, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to code up a database query to put it in our payment history.
I also usually mention that I'm not happy with their choice of DHL. This last time I said, and I quote, "DHL is slower than molasses". I was dumbfounded to see from DHL's tracking that my check was put on the delivery track last thursday morning, yet, despite spending the entire day waiting downstairs in my living room to be sure not to miss the courier, my check was not delivered. Friday was a holiday in Canada, so I did not get my check until Monday, and even then it was not delivered first thing, I still had to wait several anxious hours. I simply could not afford for DHL to have to call again because I missed signing for my check.
I always point out that at a cost of $30, they could easily afford FedEx, and considering the bulk discount that I KNOW from past experiencing working for a mail order company that FedEx gives, we could not only get vastly better service than with DHL, but google would still profit from our courier fees, albeit a somewhat smaller profit than they presently get from choosing the lowest bidder.
I find it difficult to understand how google can morally justify giving us such poor courier service in order to earn a profit from the fees we pay to get our grocery and rent money sooner, that we need to feed and house our families. It is simply appalling.
