So I was thinking of either selling widgets on my website or giving them away for free and making money off the ads. Can someone tell me what the lowest amount of money a click could produce on an adsense ad as well as the highest amount? I'm trying to get a rough gauge as to what the range is. Obviously, it would depend on my content and the ads that were delivered but I think this would help me. Thanks for the help. :)

Unless you end the reporting day with only 1 click in a channel, it's pretty hard to quote an exact number when it comes to earnings per click.

If you only got 1 click in a day and thearnings were $0.01, you could safely say that you got a 1 cent click.

But if you had 2 clicks and earned $10.00 you wouldn't know if each click paid $5.00, or if one paid $9.99 and the other paid $0.01.

Ahh, I see what you mean. I guess the stats aren't broken down then? I haven't setup an adsense account yet. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should charge people for the widgets I make or have them free. I guess this is something I need to think about more. Thanks! :)

I'm trying to get a rough gauge as to what the range is.

Approximately 1c to $15.00 per click. Finding the $15.00 clicks is the real trick ;)

A trick? Is one of the hardest thing on Google adsense. We are happy if we only get $0.5 but that is difficult to us (I think) We are trying to read and optimize and is getting worse.

there are a few keywords in the $40 to $50 range and perhaps a few that are higher

thing is when advertisers are paying high amounts, they often choose Google Search only and not Google Network partners (you)

if they do choose network, they monitor which sites display their ads and block the ones that seem like a poor fit
