AdSense Was Down for About 5 Minutes

I was just on my cousin's website and while navigating through the screens, I noticed that his AdSense ads were no longer displayed (there wasn't even a space for them). His is a highly respected website with professional content. He is considered an expert in his field and appears on CNN weekly. I couldn't help but think that he got hit with the fraudulent clicks email. I then went to my site and also found no AdSense ads, so I was relieved that the issue was on Google's end, not ours. It lasted at most 5 minutes.

I just had a similar situation with WebmasterWorld.

Maybe a trunk thing?

Same here started at 3 am and its been wiggo since then. But I did some user testing and only I seem to be seeing most of it.

I think perhaps it might be blocking ip's that log into adsense on your site. Which is Great! No more fears of accidental clicking. I doubt google would do it without informing the userbase first though.

So basically I have no idea but I am seeing the same lack of ads randomly that you are.

It seems to have been on and off for most of today.

Strange but I cannot confirm it. AdSense works today for me perfectly - revenues and impressions are very average today.

Does this mean we're losing impressions?

update - clearing your cache flushes the problem. Ads come right back.

I am using an ADSL which means that my IP changes every 30 minutes or so. Iím pretty sure that the adsense ads only stop displaying after I log into my adsense account. The ads then reappear after my IP changes which explains why they have been on and off for me today.

Marcus_Aurelius is most probably correct in saying that they are blocking IPís of people who log into their adsense account. I have also noticed that I canít see adsense ads on other webmasters sites after I log in.

If the ad isn't displayed, an impression will not be registered.

I'm on a static IP and I've had no problem seeing AdSense ads on my site or other sites since that temporary problem I reported several hours ago and I check my stats regularly.

"AdSense Was Down for About 5 Minutes"

My bad, folks. :(

I was addressing the Title and not the body of the post. I should have read the post more closely.

Is [google.com...] down right now? It's incredibly slow from here in the UK.

I am finding it very slow in the UK as well, takes a long time to load the page and then a long time to log in.
