Hello Everybody,

First of all I would like to thank every body here to give such helpfull information. I am sure there would be many here who would be making their living just by taking the advices from here.

I have been studying this forum since a month now after trying adsense on my site last month. The results has been amazing in my short research and I am planning to do this full time now.

My questions is that say I have a friend who has some good number of hits on his website. Can I lease that site for adsense and share the income of adsense. If this is OK can I contact other sites with good/bad trafic to keep my adsence on thier site and give a share to that site?

If this is not allowed then is there any other way around?

If this is allowed and if any one doing so please share thier experience.

Thanks

Check the Program Policies, but I believe that you have to be to owner of the site to put the code on.

And since AdSense is so easy to use, why would other site-owners not just join the program themselves?

if this person is a friend you could just show or tell them how to open up their own account - why would they want or need to use your account?

I am not certain if placing you ads on another publisher's web site and sharing the revenue is allowed under AdSense TOS. The operative words which sets off red flags are: "sharing revenue." I believe it states in Google's TOS that your are not permitted to share your AdSense revenue with anyone else.

However, you may have a "gray area" which provides room to negotiate, in regards to your "leasing" of another publisher's web site, provided that a set monthly "lease fee" is established beforehand and is NOT contigent apon the revenue generated by your AdSense ads on the site. In other words, you cannot pay them a percentage of your AdSense earnings, as this in fact would be a violation of Google's TOS as you would be in fact sharing your AdSense revenue no matter how you's wish to word it.

That "gray area" noted, why would anyone, friend or otherwise, want to allow you to place your AdSense ads on their site? What "added value" do YOU bring to the table? For instance, are you going to be marketing their site on your web sites and driving significant traffic their way?

If you are not offering them anything of value in return, why wouldn't they just sign up for an AdSense account of their own and earn 100% of their web site's Adsense potential? After all, they have done all the work and it is their property... I see no value what-so-ever in your offer if you were to approach me with it, as you have initially described it. I think you need to "sweeten the pot" on your end and provide something of value, if you intend on atracting other web publishers with your offer,

As it stands, why would I "share" with you what I can earn 100% of on my own without you?

...at leat that's my view point... maybe I see the world differently from others?

What i am thinking is the poster might want to "sell" this information to his friend.

It might be the case that his friend owns a nice website but does not know how to generate income. And the poster wants to "sell" this information to his friend and earn a part of it.

This shows how important information affects us. :>

hunderdown, in the google TOS they have mentioned this.
Representations and Warranties. You represent and warrant that (a) all of the information provided by You to Google to enroll in the Program is correct and current; (b) You are the owner of each Site or that You are legally authorized to act on behalf of the owner of such Site(s) for the purposes of this Agreement and the Program.

So if the site owner legally authorises me, Google might not have a problem with it?

I had a site with around 700 unique visitors a day for around 5 years now without any advert on it. It was a city portal I started while I was studing, but then never thought of keeping any advert on it as it required some time and knowledge of it, which I didnt have at that time. There are many like me I know. I am planning to not only keep the advert code but also do some SEO and content too for the site as and when required.

alwaysthinking, according to you and TOS, yes it looks like I cant go for % sharing.

sirkei, you got me right, I want to use my knowledge and search customers.
