E.S.T. Google reporting not updating for hours.

It is probably best to avoid addiction to a reporting tool based upon underlying rules which might change at any time.

A) Does it really matter if there's a small delay? Everything comes out normal at the end of the day.

I am also a few dollars away from breaking my previous month-record. I was hoping I can see it broken before I take a nap. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer before taking that much-needed rest.

The last time this happened was 5/5, after which our stats took a nosedive for a few days. I'm getting nervous now...

I have notice the googlebot is hitting all of my sites heavily today. I wonder if there is a correlation.

No new info since ~10AM Chicago time.

Maybe it's due to the class-action lawsuit they just got slapped with,
see #*$!.com . It's on the homepage - "Google Sued for Click Fraud"

[You must be either 8 or 80:-)]

I feel like 80 already because of Adsense. (LOL) I've been diagnosed with severe insomnia, and am no longer capable of sleeping for more than 3 hours. In fact, it's 3 AM in my time zone right now. :)

ALL noob's should read that statement while its available, its your future (and ours) at stake if you click your own ads, adsense could become history.

Think about it.

Well, mine finally updated after hours, but with only a $1.00 increase. It makes me very nervous that after hours of not updating that when it finally did that I only went up a $1.00... I wonder if all those hours that it wasn't updating if Google Adsense clicks were being tracked at all. Nervous, Nervous...

ABC,

Mine did the same. It showed 5 clicks on the last update, and that should have been significantly higher.

It will come. There is either a bug or they're working on something.

Hey ABC Home Preschool,

I wonder too.

How much do you normally have by now?

Mine only shows .11 for the day so far. I normally have about ~$10 by this time in the day.

Curious.

Updating has started, I should be at $100 already and it's only about $52 for hours and increased only $4 after all that stagnation. It will catch up, happens now and then.

Buzliteyear, I'm hoping your right.

MrDomainNames, you had asked how much I normally have by now... I normally have 427% (percent) more $$$s than I have at this moment. YIKES!

Reports came E.S.T. with the page/click counts out of whack, but the totals near expected.

Yeah CTR and CPM are about double the usual but seems like the total is around average.

Google doesn't pay your check based on what the live tracking says. Look at your payment history and you'll see some "Earnings" items which contain the final figure on the amount you'll get paid for the previous month. I'm pretty sure Google runs some kind of exhaustive batch job to prepare these final results, which tell them not only how much to pay us, but how much to charge advertisers.

Google can and does find and correct errors in the daily tracking reports. I got very excited a few months ago when I recieved an email from adsense support telling me that an error in my favor had been discovered, and that I would receive a credit when the final figures were tallied. Imagine my dismay when the credit turned out to be about ten bucks. Still, it is to google's credit that they would pay such attention to detail.

Even if clicks don't get recorded in your ad performance report, I think it would take some kind of coordinated nuclear strike for google not to be able to figure out which ads got clicked today. Imagine how much it would cost *Google* for their whole ad network to be down for even a few hours. If there has been some kind of real failure, I'm sure it will be corrected.

If there was an uncorrectable failure, I'm sure the gnashing of teeth will be much louder at Google's headquarters than at webmaster world. Blood will run in the streets of Mountain View and Dublin, from all the heads that roll down them, severed from the bodies of the engineers whose responsibility it was to prevent such a fatal error from happening. This lesson will not be lost on the next round of new hires, those whose job it will be to correct the bug.

Me, too, moneyraker!

I'm excited about *possibly* breaking my March earnings record.

Guess I'll have to sit here and wait with the rest of you. *sigh*

I saw ours out of whack and came in here to see if we were the only ones. When I checked it our impressions were about 1/3 what they should have been, but our clickthrus were right on... which resulted in our CTR and CPM being THREE TIMES normal! I was ready to call in the fraudulent click cops. Still hasn't caught up here.

My stats have been updating all day; they just seem to be running behind more than usual. (I'm not going to worry about it--if past experience is any guide, the day's final numbers will be in the report by morning.)
