Editing colours in Google Code

Does manually editing the colours to channel assigned code hurt?

Hi, I've got a few channels created in the Adsense interface, and I'm wondering if I can manually edit the hexadecimal colour codes in the Adcode without using the Google interface to do so (i.e. setting up and new colour palette or editing an existing one each time). Common sense tells me that as long as I don't put invalid colour code in there (i.e. I stick between 000000 and FFFFFF inclusive) then I should be fine.

I know this sounds like a newbie question, especially since I've been building websites for the last few years, but I didn't know if the channel number that one is assigned is somehow related not only to my user identification but as a checksum of my colour choices. (When you put it like that, you then start to wonder huh?!)

Thanks!

You can edit color choices manually, just be careful to follow Google's own format.

Color choices are not connected to the channel ID or publisher ID in any way.

Hope this helps

Excellent! That's just saved me another five minute time slice- 287 to go and I can start sipping cocktails.

... 287 to go and I can start sipping cocktails.

I would recommend putting the AdSense javascript block in a PHP or SSI include file. Then you only have to change the color code once, and it changes on all pages.
