Is google hammering scrapers better than we think?

I just surveyed a bunch of scrapers in a certain topic area. I found it interesting that quite a number of them are no longer showing ads, but google psa's instead. Maybe the adsense team is doing a better job than we realize when it comes to cleaning stuff up?

Google's unwillingness to protect their advertisers is truly sad and pathetic

Nice to see that you can disprove some of your own statements, ownerrim :o)

Google may be a young company, but I'm sure they know that advertisers are important to the continued growth of their business, and that scrapers are a problem that must be dealt with. But as someone said in a similar forum here, G is not using an iron fist to clean up the mess but more subtle forms of dealing with them.

Google is giving us tools like the spam report tool, so use them as you see fit. You can help clean up the "garbage." The removal of the scraper site or other TOS violators may not be as quick as one can hope, but G hopefully will come to them.

Yes, it's too easy to focus on negatives and negative perceptions. All in all, it may very well be true that the adsense team/program is doing a remarkable job.
