Hi

i'm a newbie to this site ... as a USER but i visit this site daily .. and i'm very much impressed by the "reviews and replies" by the members of this FORUM ...

Here is my problem ...

Today Google cancelled my adsense account ... mentioning that "It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on
the ads on your web pages" ... but i didn't clik on any ads displaying on my site .. moreover my daily cliks were not more than 50-60 .

Everything is fine according to me .. my Page impression my CTR each and everything ....

Now guess what ...

Even Google cancelled my account, but ads are still displaying on my site ... i don't understand is it somekind of silly mistake or something which i dunno?

Any guesses?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Why do first many first posters get their accounts cancelled?

I suggest that you search around in the Adsense forum on this topic.

Best you can do is write to Google and beg to be re-instated, but if you're running a forum or some such with repeat visitors clicking over and over trying to "help" you the odds aren't good.

Why do first many first posters get their accounts cancelled?

Because they didn't think they needed our help until it's too late.

There are many ways "invalid clicks" can be generated. Clicking your own ads is just the most obvious.

If you trully did not click on your own ads, you should certainly write Google and demand reconsideration.

Dantol, it's not that simple. If kewlguy, for example, had messages on his site that suggested people click the ads, the clicks generated by that would be invalid.

It's not enough not to click your own ads. If you violate the TOS, clicks on your site's ads are, essentially, invalid.

Invalid clicks can also be caused by the nature of the site: forums with repeating visitors, game sites with mainly kids as visitors, etc.

Europeforvisitors has compiled a list of possible reasons in the thread [webmasterworld.com ] at message #25.

BlackRaven, I am running couple of forums. Have large rectagle blended in in all the message threads at above the fold at mid area as per heatmap. CTR for this channel is more than the average site CTR.
