No, Zonealarm doesn't hide your IP address.

What forum is this? Guess why he wants to hide his IP ;)

(Hint: Google isn't quite THAT stupid, you know.)

um.... I know. I just wanted to see whatever sort of lame rationalization they had the nerve to come up with. It's mildly entertaining in a sort of sad, pathetic way....

that's pathetic.
he wants to hide his IP address so he could click on his own ads and become rich overnight.
Can't you get it people: THERE is NO easy way OUT.
You have to work hard to be successful.

The lack of regulation of sites by Adsense has created an explosion of scraper websites. This same lack of regulation seems to have affected the quality of the threads here on WW. Now days we get a plethora of these types of postings.

Remember last year when there was a community effort to develop an Adsense click tracking code (WW at its best). Now its just newbie threads exploring ways to cheat the system or else asking TOS questions that would be easily answered by reading the TOS or doing some rudimentary Google search regarding the query.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves - this person has admitted to being a noob and needing help.

Rock - get your ISP to switch your web account from IP to the new 2-Protocol, G have no way of tracking this yet so you won't have any problems with IP logging.

>>"Rock - get your ISP to switch your web account from IP to the new 2-Protocol, G have no way of tracking this yet"

The L2TP Protocol is used for integrating multi-protocol dial-up services into existing Internet Service Providers Point of Presence (ISP and POP, respectively). This protocol may also be used to solve the "multilink hunt-group splitting" problem. Multilink PPP, often used to aggregate ISDN B channels, requires that all channels composing a multilink bundle be grouped at a single Network Access Server (NAS). Because L2TP makes a PPP session appear at a location other than the physical point at which the session was physically received, it can be used to make all channels appear at a single NAS, allowing for a multilink operation even when the physical calls are spread across distinct physical NASs. However, all outbound and inbound Internet calls are still routed via a public network IP.

In short, an IP is required to "talk" to Google and the rest of the Internet.

...this person has admitted to being a noob....

actually I didn't hear that... I heard someone trying to hide and when you're trying to hide there's usually a reason for it. Quite often that reason is questionable.

or even illegal...

ahem - I apologise for my previous post - I was being sarcastic - it truly is the lowest form of wit (in mitigation I've been sat in my garden all afternoon drinking G&T's). It'd be nice if these would-be cheats would stop asking how to cheat the system...

Good thing I read to the end, I was about to start flaming.

Not to mention the post isn't even about AdSense, it's about IP addresses.

Guess the mods still have hangovers.
