Reporting Suspicious Clicks

I might have done the wrong thing...

Just last week I had the biggest day Since joining Adsense in October. The total was $500 for the day thanks to the high EPC & CTR and it continued up to Father's day. I checked my channels and found some to have EPC as high as $3x.00 and eCPM in the $xx,#*$! which I reported to google.

Of course, Father's day traffic dropped but EPC and CTR remained high. The high earnings pattern came back on Monday.

Today, I got a response back from google that they appreciated the heads up and is monitoring any suspicious click patterns or activities. I also noticed that my stats are about 2-3 hours behind.

Could this be the result of google holding back some clicks for investigation? Which leads me to think that I should not have reported these spikes in earnings.

For what it's worth, my stats seem to be way behind today june 21, eastern U.S.

Haven't seen anyone else complaining about it here or on other boards.

yeah, now they are investigating your clicks. Now that you reported to them, it could take them up to 3 weeks to disable your account (if they find any invalid clicks).

FYI - I operate Strictly by the book. I don't even click on ads from any site whether they are from yahoo or adsense.

I'm not concerned about getting the boot from google.

I'm just worried that they may start applying "smart pricing" that will ultimately ruined my best month so far.

I never wake the sleeping giant...If there are invalid clicks, they have the software to track it.

I told them a long time ago that I had something weird happen. I went from about $1 a day to about $15.00 then back to $1.

I told them about the weird day and then responded about a week later saying they found over $50 in invalid clicks...then deducted that from my account...
