On my blog I just encountered a new ad format like I have never seen it before. It's in "banner" format (468 x 60), which usually has two ads next to each other. However this time only ONE ad is shown, and it has the following layout:

Hyperlink-title - www.webaddress.com
Ad text ad text ad text ad text ad text ad text
[------------------blank line------------------]
_______________________________Ads by Goooogle

I immediatly checked the AdSense backend to see if a new format was advertised - but nothing. I also re-checked the AdSense code I inserted, but it is right as well:

google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 60;
google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
google_ad_type = "text";

Anybody elese ever seen these ads?

This has been a standard size for a long time. The fact that only one ad is shown may indicate that there are not enough "suitable" ads for the content/territory.

The ad shown is completely off-topic - after a few refreshes normal pairs of on-topic ads are shown. The "strange" ad is displayed maybe 1 time out of ten.

Do you have a session id (or any other changing elements) in the URL?
