Message Too Old, No Replies

Does anybody visit their own site anymore?

Afraid of getting booted for CPM "abuse"

Every time I visit my site (be sure it's not been hacked, read comments, post messages), I'm afraid I'm going to get booted from AdSense.

Do they have an official line somewhere that states:

You can not visit your site, ever.

or

You can visit your site; we'll filter out your impressions without any sort of potential penalization.

Thanks for any insight.

I have one of my sites set as my home page. I do everything from there, search Google...

I visit my sites constantly, over 25 hours a week, I'm sure.

As do I. Would be lost if I did not see it come up first time. That way I can always tell if the server is down, etc.

Chill dude, Google is not out to get you. It is clearly stated that you can visit and generate page impressions. The only thing that's prohibited is "constantly clicking refresh" it was somewhat writen like that. So rest assure that you can visit your site at least 10 times an hour. I visit my site about 50 times a day.
The closest I got to breaking that part of the TOS is when I was doing massive redesigning and refreshed my site about 60-70 times during one hour . So I mailed them a apologie (yeah I know, I'm still new so still a bit paranoid) and their respose was somewhat like this "we appreciate you report, keep in mind that clickin on the ads is strictly prohibited" so they're a lot more concerned about clicks then just page impressions.
I think I can safely assume that they won't do anything to you for up to 10% of all page impressions being yours. So rest easly if your so petrified with fear to not visit it more then 5 times a day ;)

Besides where would be the logic if a publisher couldn't be able to see his own site. Not all of us use html only you know. How am I suposed to compile a php from my hard drive and see how it fits in with the site.

No need to worry, as long as you don't click the ads it should not be a problem.

Each day I make more than 100 of pageviews on my sites.

A solution would be to add this line to your hosts file on your PC:

127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

After adding that you may need to close and restart your browser. Viola, no more Ads By Goooooooogle. If you want to check ads on your pages simply comment the line with a leading #.

I use this just so I can get a better representation of my page impressions. Seems that I can easily add a few hundred a day without even thinking twice. Google never complained about those impressions.

We have been with several banner ad networks since the late 90s, and not one tell their publishers not to view their own sites. That's totally nonsensical.

Thanks for all the responses.

I visit one of my sites several times a day, but as I said it is to check posts, add content, etc.

I also occasionally visit a couple of my static sites just to be sure everything is alright; this is what was particularly troubling me since nothing *should* change on these sites and my only reason for visiting them is to be sure there isn't a problem on the server.

Dude, everybody said it, now I'm gonaa be rude and nicely bold it:

You don't have to explain yourself, you can visit your site every time you feel like it as long as you don't act like a <snip>, and smash the F5 button 5 times per second

there I think it's clear now :), damn I didn't know I'm that rude. I guess forums bring out the worst in me :P

Anyway good luck with your site - what's it about anyway.

I had Google disable the off topic CPM ads showing on my site so I'm not really worried about it :)
