Would you bother telling google?

If you clicked / searched your own stuff months ago?

Reading some threads in here has gotten me worried.

I set up the google ads / search box on my site about three months ago, but it was really ugly and messy so I tweaked some of the HTML around it.

The box looked a bit funny so I tried a search in it to check it, and it failed. I re-requested the code and then tried another search - this one worked.

I tested it again on another page because of the problems also.

My partner lives with me and I caught them clicking an ad around the same time - they didn't know about the TOS - I've told them to stop and they say they haven't done it many times at all.

Considering how worried some people have been here, and how some people have been shut down I'm concerned.

I didn't get paid for any of these searches or clicks, and they were ages ago, what are the chances of google shutting down my account when I get close to payout? Would you bother emailing them?

Thanks in advace.

Well I don't know will that cause disabling your account or not (mainly because "ages ago" can be a week or half of year) - but ... why not?, AdSense Support are very nice peaople - with very sophisticated language - but still very nice peaople like the peaople you see on this forum. You already have the statement fixed now just paste it in the mail, send it and wait a couple of houres for a "we appreciate your report, hope you won't do it again, thx for the concern and why not take a survey" respond - it won't hurt and will help you a tiny bit have a peacefull nap at night.

There's no need, especially if it was that long ago. Stop being paranoid and try not to react to other people's paranoia, which seems to run rampant on this forum.

You have discovered the error and recitfied the problem. As it's a while ago I'd be inclined to leave it, and make sure that no further occurrences occur.
