Click Limit

Hi all,

Is there a limit to how many times a user can click on ads? Say, I have 10,000 users, and 100 of them clicks on 20 ads every day, will that get me banned? Basically, is google tracking the IPs of clickers and # of times they click for banning?

If this is the case, anyone, i.e. competitors, can get me banned from AdSense, right? Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening?

Thanks...

How do You know, that 100 users click 20 ads a day?

This is shure a very unconventional behavior.

When they do this every day, this could cause problems.

Google may consider numbers of clicks from one user as ONE factor in determining if a click is valid or not, but you can be sure it's not the only one. Follow the TOS, and if you're concerned about click "sabotage," well, don't get into any unnecessary disputes with savvy competitors....

Well, those numbers were given just to examplify the issue. I just wanted to ask what would happen if users click on too many ads...

So, there is no written limit as to number of clicks per user, right? And, as usual with google, there are some hidden algorithms for determining this, and I should pray that I won't have any competitor that has grudge against my site...

As a side note, what if one user clicks on multiple ads, do I get paid only for one of clicks?

Thanks...

I don't know if anyone can say for sure, but I think the answer is: possibly, but it depends on their behavior. If someone clicks on 3 ads over a space of 45 minutes, say, and each time spends some time on the advertiser's site, well, that's probably going to be OK. But if they click an ad, back up, click an ad, back up, over and over again in a short period of time, well, that's probably NOT going to be OK.

Hi,

I don't care for the number of clicks from a user but yes I loose my sleep thinking about if someone starts to click on my site.

I don't know how google decides but surely there are few guys sitting who should be taking a look on the stats when the automated systems goes against a site. I am sure that the ultimate decision is by some humen thats what I tell my self and then sleep again.

Even i would like to know what to do if the to prevent someone clicking on my site too many times.

Anyhelp will be great.

Thanks
