AdLinks? I'm a little confused here.

When people refer to Adlinks to they mean Adunits?

from what I can see there are 2 choices

Ad Unit

Link Unit

if you pick link unit whats the best size? and 4 or 5?

second are you paid on the first click like with ad units as I notice with link units you click and your taken to a page with links.. so are you paid on 1st or 2nd click with link units

Best size varies from site to site.

And you're paid for the second click, so to speak.

oh dang.. chances of that are worse then

why would we put the units on our page then as the whole point is to get them to click and get paid quick..

with the other adsense its on the first

so question is ... what works best

crimson... i think that ad links work great for many sites because you can often get more than one click per visitor.

when a visitor clicks on one of the ad links, they are taken to a page full of sponsored links - and nothing else. if they click on one, you get paid. if they didn't find what they were looking for, they could click the back button, and return to the sponsored links page. if they click on another link, you get paid again.

I've gotten all the proof I need that Link Units are a good choice (at least for my sites). I have a site that had only Ad Units on it and was getting very few clicks. I simply added Link Units (120 X 90 with 4 links) in the upper left margin on a few higher traffic pages, and the difference was stark. I went from <5 clicks per day on those pages to >15, consistently. So I implemented it on most of my other sites and have seen similar results (not quite as robust, but it's all good!).

I'm not saying it works on all sites, but it turned May around for me completely. Saved the month, really.
