Will Y!Q Beta : Search in context be allowed?

or is it against AdSense TOS?

Would the new changes saying we can't have competing ads anywhere on our site mean we can't try out Y!Q Beta : Search in context?

I'm still confused about the latest TOS.

I just thought it would be fun to try on a minor page but don't want to take any chances.

There are a ton of threads like this out there, but to break it down: Contact Google after the new product becomes available and give them an example.

Be sure to include something like this in your email to Google:

"I realise it is against Google's Terms of Service to put competing ads on the same page, but is it generally accepted to use other ad formats which feature contextual advertising technology, such as the new Yahoo! Publisher program, on separate pages within the same domain name?"

Edit: It's best to get the answer straight from the source than these forums which sometimes have differing opinions.

Just curious, is anyone here considering trying Y!Q Beta search on their site? I don't use the AdSense search as it didn't do well on my site and they put so many ads ahead of the results.

It doesn't look like it would earn any money but it would be an interesting twist to experiment with. It really doesn't look at all like the AdSense search so it wouldn't be mimicking would it?

It's being discussed at [webmasterworld.com...] and can be seen at [yq.search.yahoo.com...]
