I am running a blog and I would like to quote a person of saying. "What the #*$! is your problem?"

I find it importent to quote people as precise as possible. Will G have a problem with this word?

If Google considers it 'Excessive Profanity' you will be kicked out.

As far as display goes, ads can still show, depending on density. I've seen the bot read a page with the word and still show (political pages, interviews). If the word makes the whole slant negative, that seems to throw up a stop.

TYPE it in paint shop, same font etc and save as cuddly.gif and use this image instead...

Or use something like that :
<script language="javascript">document.write("wo"+"rd");</script>

Thanks for your suggestions. The script is very usefull.

By the way, I actually wrote the F-word in my first post , but this board automatically rewrites it to: (and here I go again:-) #*$!.

I wonder if in a manual review Google might not take too kindly to the graphic or the jacascript tricks as they seem to be designed to fool the bot. Could be risky.

Or use something like that :
<script language="javascript">document.write("wo"+"rd");</script>

thats what i do for emails - it ends up as a perfectly working mailto, but spambots have a tough time pulling email address out of the variables

Sometimes, very rarely, Google is not displaying ads despite I don't use any vulgarities - these are technical pages about technology. I am totally puzzled because I don't know which word Google didn't like. How to find out which word was/is causing the problem?

"How to find out which word was/is causing the problem?"

Split the page into several (200-350 characters should be max). See what page ads aren't being displayed at and this way you can narrow it down to a paragraph.

You could always just change the word to something else and put brackets around it.. that way the quote holds true but says you changed the one word...

I very rarely use f***, 'f' with 3 stars (in case it gets changed here). Even that looks a bit shocking.

I have a site about air guns (pellet guns, airsoft, etc.), and several of the pages will not show AdSense ads because their bot picks up the individual word "guns" or "machine guns" etc. It's a headache.
