URL redirection scripts on Google?

I've noticed in the last few days that Google returns results linking to

google.com/url?http://[domain]/content.asp?contentid=1554

Sometimes this works and redirects to the correct page on [[domain]...] but sometimes it fails trying to redirect to google.com/contentid=1554.

Has anyone noticed this? Better still, has Google noticed this? I think it has to do with Internet Explorer and the URL encoding (note the?contentid=1554 in the destination URL).

Google sometimes adds tracking codes to all url's, to track user behaviour. Probably cookie triggered. It should not interfere with your reaching the destination url. If you think it does (every redirect can fail) it's best to complain with Google, especially if it interferes with your adversitsement. Make sure the page itself is OK and the delay is caused by Google, not by a slow page.

*added*: sorry I read your post with adWords inmind, not adSense :)
But the conclusion is the same: contact Google if you think the redirecting interferes with proper operation. And be carefull not to check your ad's destinations by clicking on them!

Thanks

I am actually referring to SERP, not AdSense. I am pretty sure I posted this to the Google discussion forum.

Perhaps the moderator would like to move this thread?

Cheers
