Google promoting its own scraper site program?

How can they take the high ground if they do it too?

Well, this is certainly interesting. Adsense for Domains sure looks like what scrapers do - tossing search results and ads up on an otherwise contentless site - and Google is offering it as a program.

I may be wrong too. Having looked through my referrals from oingo.com I see that those referrals visit as many or more pages than others.

Just did a quick look and this tactic seems to be used by other SEs in the past (goto being one named). With results of the domains term dominating the google serps.

This is nothing new - but I am surprised the google is going for this... really makes one wonder about them!

Received my canned reply today. Actually it was a personal reply - but the majority had been copied and pasted.

Paraphrasing:

Para 1: Blah blah, wonderful google, we understand.

Para 2: You can list negative content sites under ... etc, and your adverts won't appear on those sites.

So I asked for a list of all the parked domains so I could block them. Not really fair on the poor support person who has to work out that it isn't possible.

There are thousands... this is the problem, I don't have time to do that. It would take less time for the programmer at adwords to enable this option for everyone.
