I've been reading that when using a public WiFi connection (like at a coffee house) that if the site uses "SSL" that the information transferred (both ways?) is secure. When "SSL" is being used the URL of the site will read "HTTPS://".
Is this right? When I access my Adsense stats the URL in my browser's window always reads "HTTPS". Does this mean that the Adsense site an ok one to access via public WiFi (like when you are on a trip).

Still password might be transmitted to another user if you use public computer and it is installed with some spy software like Perfect Keylogger.
I always check my stat on my home computer having static IP with the cable connection.
