Links Only..No Text?

I'm only able to get link boxes with 4 or 5 links in my AdSense.
I'm wondering how to create the ones with descriptive text for the links.
If I try banners or anything other than the standard link box, I simply get a blank white box (on multiple browsers.)
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are using the wrong adunit on your page.

You're selecting the "adlinks" unit on the Ad Layout code page.

Make sure you are selecting the radio button next to the "Ad unit" text and not the "Link unit" and you'll have a choice between the different standard Adsense ads with descriptive text for the links.

it could be that the mediabot spider hasn't visited your page yet to determine what type of ads should show.

Hmmmm.....
24 hours later, and it's still a white featureless box.
2 Emails sent...no response.

Anyone else have this problem?
