Any word when the CPM campaigns will be available to everybody and not just the testers?

Hello out there - no one can help with this question? I am wrong to think that the CPM only has not started? I think some people are assuming if you choose all image ads you are in the CPM campaign but I don't think this is the case - any opinions?

Not sure. I set up a channel of 468x60 banners and set them to "image only" just to test.

I got massive under-counting of impressions - and completely untargeted ads - just one creative in fact.

So I stopped the test. Not sure if it's live yet or not - but it didn't work for me.

I don't think it's live. They are still testing it--browse the AdWords forum from time time and as soon as it goes live you can be sure you'll see lively discussions about it.

I think it was a "make the advertisers" happy kind of thing. I have been on both sides of this, in and out of the corporate side and the small business webmaster side. I think something a lot of us here may not realize is that most corporations, the big companies, want this - image ads, banner ads, whatever you want to call them - because they are comfortable with it and it fits into their bean counting (even if the results are poorer). And - they want massive numbers - millions and millions of page views. I don't see a lot of those kinds of companies using AdSense now - but - I think with the control (they can pick the sites) and the right amount of inventory, and the Google success story, I think they are probably dying to jump in. They just were not going to do that in the current format.

Yes - that is what I was saying - just because you choose that option, that doesn't mean you are in the CPM and not the CPC space.

Anyway - thanks for the feedback, I hate asking lame questions nobody answers...
