Yep, I've got it too. A month or two ago a colleague of mine got an unsolicited telephone call from an Adsense rep with some immediate tips. THAT was cool!

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I want an AdSense Rep calling me out of the blue telling me how to optimize my site.

It's nice to know that they're willing to help if you have questions, though.

actually, the language is... 'to be considered for personalized tips, email us at...' (paraphrased). so its not a promise that they will do it.

seems like they are keenly aware that helping publishers' sites become more optimized is an easy way to increase revenues in addition to bringing more publishers into the network.

I also got it... it's located in the "Tips" section and seems to rotate with other tips.

In a German AdSense forum was somebody surprised by an Email from Google about optimizing.

Some times ago, here was a posting about a job offer from Google to help people to optimize their pages.

Can you imagine receiving a 'spoof' call from someone pretending to be from Google, offering you 'optimisation' techniques with a reverse effect .......frightening!

Ya a phone call from Google is like Microsoft calling to improve your Windows Experience.

I've had lots of calls from 'Lycos UK' - when you drill down its a call centre with no official connection to Lycos but a scam offering 'preferential positions' in the search engines. People fall for it!

RandomOne... its at the top of the page after you first login to adsense (just below the header). for me, it has a blue outline.

I don't have it either. Maybe google exluded those with a CTR higher than a certain amount ;)

It appears to be on a rotation, hitting reload multiple times should make it eventually appear. It is probably to prevent thousands of publishers all requesting optimization help at the same time ;)

they actually looked into my site and gave me a number of suggestions such as putting more ad units, etc. After one month they told me the results of the changes and gave the gift money.

I reloaded the page several times but I only got those two tips:

- Learn how to improve the performance of your Google ads with our new optimization tips page!
- Tip! Did you know you can block ads that lead to your competitors' sites? Read our Ad Filtering Guide for more information.

I've been there, but I expect to see the tip elsewhen was talking about, the tip with the "email to google".

i think the email message is only available based on certain criteria being met - i think its related to dollar amount. Such as, if account makes X then show email address if not show only link to tips page. Just 'keep refreshing' on some accounts may not be a solution because of this.

I know a company that has regularly scheduled meetings with G to discuss ads and ad placement so G offering the same type of service and advice to a new tier of publisher isn't so surprising really. I would call it taking care of business and it's probably not a bad idea for publishers to get a direct AdSense contact either.

Considering we all complain about being the ignored stepchildren compared to AdWords this seems like a step in the right direction :)

Now if you don't mind, I need to make a phone call to some company claiming I can make $4.5K-$6K/month putting their stuff on my site. The only downside is I'm sure it will detract some money from AdSense so the mental torture and anguish over adding them or not, going PPC or PPA, may kill me before the day is over.

To me it looks like a lot of "how to make click-me ads" advices. Isn't it against the TOS? ;)
