I have one site in six languages. Here is their effective CPM from october til now relative to each other with 100% for the best one:

French 100%
English 72%
Dutch 67%
Italian 64%
German 54%
Spanish 2%

The German site has more page impressions than all the others together, maybe this is lowering its cpm. Spanish is doing very bad from the beginning.

What are your experiences, especially with other languages? Of course I'm asking because I want to know in which other languages I could have my site translated.

I don't have any other experience then with the languages you listed but can list them from best to worst.

English
French
German
Italian
Spanish

I've never done great with Spanish. Just doesn't make much money. I won't be using it in future translations.

No, German was the first language.

Interesting thread - glad this was brought to my attention.

Spanish was also "low" for me.

I have a set of French pages that were translated (by a pro) that I will test.

I better get on the German pages too.

(My next step is to test some machine translation)

I installed now a channel to watch my few spanish pages.

And it happened to be completely opposit to your statistic. Nearly double CTR, and even 5 time higher CPM.

With the right choice of a small statistic sample, it's possible to prove practicall everything.

When the sample is small enough, You can proof even, that's completly dark on a sunny day. Just take a very small area and an extrem short time, where no photon comes in.
